brunch!

All wedding guests, travelers and local, are invited to a catered brunch at the Comfort Inn hotel from 07:00 to 10:00 on Monday, October 12. We hope that it will be a time to gather together once more before you need to leave Albany. Please let us know if you are not staying at the hotel but would like to attend.

open mic

Inspired by Susan's friend Cara's & her husband Andrew's wedding festivities, and with the desire to share the talents of Suz & Rob's multi-talented friends and family, we decided to add an "open mic" event to the cocktail hour at the beginning of the reception. :)

Our intent is that anyone who wishes to add their own way of celebrating the wedding will have the opportunity. This includes but is not limited to musical performances, story telling, poetry readings, toasts, short skits, etc. Rob & Suz may still be off having their pictures taken at this point, so we hope to have a video camera recording (no pressure, of course!). The DJ is in on this and will help with any necessary microphones, background music, etc.

We are still searching for a video camera and someone to man/woman it, so if you have one and are willing to help us out with that, we would be very grateful!

We understand that an "open mic" may be somewhat out of the ordinary, so please feel free to contact us with any questions. We hope that you will join in! :)

Inspired by Susan's cousin Amy's & her husband Aaron's pre-wedding festivities, and with the desire to share their home with as many out-of-town friends and family members as possible, Rob & Suz invite you all to their home for an Open House the day before the wedding. :)

Saturday, October 10th, 4:00-7:00PM.

There is no method of RSVPing for this on the invitation reply card, and it will be very casual. Feel free to comment to this post, call us, or email us to let us know if you would like to join us. Weather permitting, we may spend time in the backyard with the firepit going.

Thank you very much to all of the wonderful women who organized and attended my bridal shower on Sunday, July 19th! I had a fantastic time, and it was such a beautiful day. Thank you very much for all of the thoughtful gifts; I appreciate your generosity and kindness.

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Castleton Comfort Inn & Suites for Saturday 10/10 and Sunday 10/11 (Sunday is the big day).

A shuttle van will transport anyone interested from the hotel to the reception site and back on the day of the wedding.

The wedding ceremony will take place at 2:00 in downtown Albany, and the reception will follow afterwards, with time to make a stop at the hotel if you would like. The reception site, Le Jardin, located at 1110 Route 9J, River Road in Schodack Landing, NY, is about 10 minutes from the ceremony site, the First Presbyterian Church of Albany at the corner of State and Willett Streets in downtown Albany.
